President’s Message – 27 July 2021

Hello fabulous members of the CSKC, I trust that you and your families are in great health and spirit. Sadly, the lockdown continues in the state of NSW, however, the glass-half-full is that we can still paddle in a COVID safe manner. Our wonderful “El Presidente” has been at it again and has published a great new message for all of us.

New Club T-shirts and Caps

Our secretary, Kaveh Fanian, has recently received the order for the new 2021 Club T-Shirts and Caps. These will be made available to all members as part of the club membership fee for 2021/2022. The new merchandise will be available at the next club race after the government announces the end of the COVID lockdown period.

Vale Mick Georgaris

Dear Club Friends,

It is sad to advise the passing today of a long time paddler Mick Georgaris. Mick has paddled with us at Swallow Rock, along Bate Bay beaches and at numerous States, Cities and Beaches around Australia. His friendship and sportsmanship are known to us all. Many stories of “Micks Moments” will be told and retold for many years into the future.

Mick has owned and raced many, many boats. Sometimes taking more than one to a surf carnival or kayak event just in case conditions changed. He was joined on the water by his sons, John and Mick (Jnr) both very good paddlers and he and wife Marilyn joined in a double which they campaigned over a long time with success at Club and State Marathon events.

Our condolences are extended to the family at this time. May he Rest in Peace.
