2025 CSKC Autumn Series

The 2025 CSKC racing season kicks off with a preliminary race on Saturday 12th April at Swallow Rock at 2pm.

The Twilight Racing season finishes with the end of daylight saving on 5th April so I’m sure everyone will look forward to continuing with their racing on Saturdays.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the start of a new official season of club racing – please come and join us!

2025/2026 Wednesday Twilight Races start 8 October 2025

The CSCK Autumn / Winter Series racing season ended on 20th September with “The Rock” race and now that daylight saving has started we will once again be resuming the Wednesday afternoon Twilight Race series as of 8 October 2025 at 6pm. The Twilight race series will run all the way through to the end of daylight saving in April of 2026.

TWILIGHT RACE PROTOCOLS

  1. This will be a 5k handicap race every week
  2. Handicaps will be based on 30 mins for 5k
  3. The clock will start at exactly 6pm every Wednesday
  4. Anyone who does 5k in 30 mins or more will start at 6:00
  5. Anyone who regularly paddles less than 30 mins will be handicapped based on 30 minutes
  6. Eg if you are regularly 26 mins you will start at 6:04, Or a 24 minute paddler you are off at 6:06′ . The board will be up.It’s Self registering,Self handicapping and Self timing & self recording
  7. We will race 5k each week then an option to do another 5 together . The timing and handicapping process will be the same each week but course will be varied: Sometimes to the net, Sometimes short course laps, Sometimes portages
  8. Life jackets are highly encouraged and may be made mandatory

2025 CSKC Autumn Series

The 2025 season kicks off on Saturday 12h April with a preliminary race at Swallow Rock Reserve starting at 2pm. There will be a second preliminary race on 19 April before the the official start of the season with the Presidents Cup race on Saturday 26 April

The official start to the 2024 season kicks off on Saturday 13th April at Swallow Rock at 2pm.

For those of you that are interested there will be pre-season warm up races on Saturday 30th March  for both the 5km short course and the 10km long course

2024/2024 Wednesday Twilight Paddles (only During Daylight Saving period)

Our Wednesday night 6pm twilight paddles have been well attended over the last 2 seasons since we transitioned from Friday to Wednesday nights.

Our Autumn/Winter Saturday afternoon race season will run through to September of 2023 and then we will kick off the Wednesday Night Twilight Series paddles on 9th October (after Sunday’s switch to daylight saving).

Our paddle starts at 6pm and many of us enjoy a social nibble after.

2023 CSKC Club Autumn Series kicks off 15th April

The official start to the 2023 season kicks off on Saturday 15th April at Swallow Rock at 2pm.

For those of you that are interested there will be pre-season warm up races on Saturday 1st April & Saturday 8th April  for both the 5km short course and the 10km long course
